Salira will leverage its experience with MSOs in North America to develop solutions designed specifically for the cable industry. Salira's solutions will expand the bandwidth capacity of operators' networks while preserving prior investments in infrastructure and operating procedures. "As we began to work closely with our MSO customers, we realized that our solutions were ideally suited for the cable industry," said Yanming Liu, CEO for Salira. "The big issue for cable operators right now is to grow their residential customer base while they simultaneously compete for a larger share of the commercial market. Salira's solutions significantly increase the bandwidth capacity of operators' network to better equip them for this looming battle with telco and satellite service providers." At the Cable Show in New Orleans from May 18 through 20, Salira will be displaying new products that significantly increase the bandwidth capacity of its Gigabit Ethernet Passive Optical Network (GE-PON) platform. To see the new products, visit Salira at booth 436. In the coming months, Salira will be announcing several innovative products as the company expands its cable solutions portfolio.
