Salira 2500 Optical Line Terminal

Overview

The 2500 OLT is an optical transport system that connects your high-speed long haul network to multiple Salira ONUs, creating a point-to-multipoint network. This device, which sits at your regional office or data center, supports up to 14 PON links—each delivering a gigabit of symmetrical payload distributed to multiple ONUs up to 20 km away.

  • Time Division Multiplex (TDM) (DS-3, E1/T1, and STM-1/OC-3)
  • Very high bit-rate DSL (VDSL)

Intelligent Resource Allocation

  • Dynamic bandwidth allocation (with OLC-S)
  • Oversubscription with protection for prioritized or latency-constrained traffic
  • Full QoS prioritization with differentiation between committed rate and peak rate traffic

You can configure the flexible 2500 OLT to support a variety of geographic coverage and customer bandwidth requirements.
