Salira HeadEnd

Salira’s HeadEnd equipment is designed to integrate seamlessly with the rest of the equipment in your existing network. On the network side, Salira’s IEEE 802.3ah compliant Optical Line Terminal (OLT) products connect to Layer 2/Layer 3 switch/routers in the edge network. Each Passive Optical Network (PON) emanating from Salira’s head-end equipment is connected to multiple Customer Premises Equipment (CPE) devices using a single feeder fiber.

This feeder fiber is fed through a passive optical splitter and split into multiple distribution fibers that connect to CPE devices built by Salira. This configuration forms a Gigabit-level Ethernet Passive Optical Network (EPON). On the head-end side, Salira has high-density and low-density versions of its product to meet the unique demand profile of your customer base.
