HIGH DENSITY AND PERFORMANCE OPTICAL NETWORK UNIT
The Salira ONU 3347 is a variation of Salira’s flagship Salira 3345 Optical Network Unit (ONU). This IEEE 802.3ah standards-compliant, rack-mounted ONU is designed to deliver IP-based triple play services to end-users in Multi-Tenant Unit (MTU) or Multi-Dwelling Unit (MDU) environments. With 24 Fast Ethernet interface ports, the Salira ONU 3347 can easily support high-density MTU/MDU deployments. In addition, it can support large businesses or high-rise deployments that require a high-level of dedicated bandwidth and/or higher port counts. With its advanced processing capabilities, the 3347 can guarantee both minimum and maximum bandwidth commitments with enhanced QoS. Moreover, the 3347 enable service providers to increase security by offering Access Control List (ACL) filtering. The 3347 provides superior economic return compared to single-user ONUs, with less distribution fiber needed to reach the same number of subscribers, and with better amortization of CPE equipment over larger numbers of users.
