COMPACT OPTICAL NETWORK UNIT FOR FTTH/FTTB

The Salira ONU 3370 is a compact Optical Network Unit (ONU) designed for Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) and Fiber-to-the-Building (FTTB) applications. The 3370, available only in China, is designed for single residential and small business deployments. In high-rise buildings, the Salira 3370 can be deployed in a fiber-in-the-riser configuration in which end users require a dedicated CPE device. The 3370 features four Fast Ethernet ports. The ONU has a small footprint and can be placed on a desktop or hung on a wall. The 3370 features multiple User Network Interfaces (UNIs) to deliver advanced IP-based triple play services to individual end-users. With four 10/100Base-T ports, the 3370 provides sufficient bandwidth to support the most demanding broadband applications like high-quality digital video. Ideally-suited to the consumer market, service providers are able to deliver High-Speed Internet, VOIP and IPTV using unique Service Level Agreements (SLAs) on a per-subscriber basis. The Salira 3370 Series consists of two functionally identical ONU models with two different types of enclosures. The 3370 has a plastic enclosure and the 3370R has a metal enclosure. The Salira 3370 Series ONU may be installed in buildings or cabling rooms. Category 5 cable is used to connect switches or other end-user equipment.
